Personal Development For Millionaire Culture Success

People often don't realize they are moving slower than they could because they've been held back or weighed down for so long. Personal development is all about creating the best version of yourself and not trying to be someone else. It’s crucial to recognize that comparing yourself to others can only lead to feelings of inadequacy like “I’m just” or “I’m only.” One major lesson I’ve learned is that good mentors listen more than they talk to better identify challenges and provide the guidance you need.

Root Causes of Personal Progress

Your progress in life can be greatly influenced by where you are on your personal development journey. I’ve personally felt like I disappointed my mother—even though she never said it. Even with a college degree, I often relied on my mother for financial help. This led me to feel like a disappointment as a son, husband, and father due to my financial struggles. Journaling has been a key practice for me to remember where I came from and stay humble despite any success.

The Hip Hop Connection

Hip hop played a huge role in my life by allowing me to build relationships with people from different backgrounds. This connectivity meant so much to me. In fact, my podcast started because of a Big Sean song called “Bigger Than Me.” Initially, I didn’t want to do a podcast, but my wife encouraged me to pursue it. This podcast has become something I am truly passionate about, prioritizing it even if it means sacrificing other things.

Overcoming Self-Doubt and Pricing Your Worth

One major takeaway from my journey is that to attract high-paying clients, you need to approach things differently. Success and the wealth of others shouldn’t stop you from teaching and leading them. It’s crucial to develop a mindset that values your worth. Self-doubt from past failures can hold you back from pricing your services at a premium level. Many people make the mistake of under-pricing their services when starting out, but it's essential to set them at premium levels from the start.

Building a Culture of Recognition

My wife and I developed a ring to recognize champions on our team who earned a million dollars. We gifted this ring to our teammates to create a culture of recognition. Our focus wasn’t just on marketing and selling products, but also on generating income for our team members and their families’ futures. Helping 40 people earn six figures before I turned 40 is the most gratifying accomplishment for me.

Leading People Above You

Leading people who are already successful and have high-paying jobs requires a different level of leadership, as you may have to deal with their egos. One crucial lesson I’ve learned is that presence in a positive space with successful people can help you grow and thrive. Conversely, having negative people in the same space can hinder growth and cause dislike. Who you are as a person is just as important as where you are physically located.

Embracing Gratitude and Mentorship

It’s important to practice gratitude during the struggle. Find the little things to be thankful for, like having gas in the car to meet potential contacts. I learned financial lessons in my 30s that I plan to teach my sons when they are 18 and 20. Having gone through tough times, I understand the importance of mentorship and having honest people around you. This experience has helped me build a great culture in both my family and business.
